Kimonos are a great summer alternative to the traditional cardigan. They come in a variety of styles and colours and are the perfect lightweight staple to your summer wardrobe.
This Club L Longline Burnout Kimono adds just the perfect amount delicateness to an otherwise simple outfit. I just received mine in the mail yesterday evening and was so super excited to be able to incorporate it in my outfits.
It's perfect for day wear but also great for a night out with friends or date night with your partner. You can dress it up with heels (as in the pictures above) or dress it down with your favourite sandals or a pair of converse.
I paired the kimono with a pair of jean shorts from Forever21, a black tank top and a pair of brown booties I purchased in March at Capezio (seen in a later post).
It's currently on sale at ASOS and only comes in a nude/pink shade. Just a note, when I first opened the bag I was a little surprised at how pink it was! It's definitely not as light as depicted in the photos online so beware if you're not a fan of pink. The material is super soft though and very lightweight.
The Club L kimono looks great with a light pair of jeans and a light coloured blouse or tank. For all you Canadian gals, Aritzia carries some very beautiful tops (and there's currently a sale going on) :)
